Just film yourself or a friend saying “Tickles saves you money!” and send us the video for our new YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/TicklesUK. Everyone who enters will be in with a chance of winning one of five pocket camcorders and the chance to star in our upcoming ad campaign!

We’ve come up with five special categories and the winner of each will be picked by us to win a camcorder, so the more creative or bizarre your video the better! We will be rewarding prizes for the following categories:

• Most popular video (most views)
• Most theatrical delivery
• Most unusual place filmed
• Funniest video
• Most innovative use of props

We wanted to share the good news regarding 2 significant milestones that were reached last week at Tickle Towers

Firstly we celebrated our 1st birthday on Tuesday 24th May! Time really does fly when you are having fun and these last 12 months have been nothing short of amazing. We couldn’t have done it without you so a big thank you to all of the advertisers that we have worked with to date and of course our ever growing loyal army of Ticklers. We marked the event in style with some celebratory drinks and canapés for our clients and customers at Rare Grill and Steakhouse in Norwich.

Secondly we have now saved people over £500,000 since our very 1st Tickle was listed back on the 24th May 2010 (£517,075 to be precise at the time of writing). It was extra fitting that this tied in very nicely with our 1st anniversary so we made it a double celebration….it would have been rude not too

LOCAL DISCOUNT WEBSITE TICKLES ARCHANTS FANCY

Archant has announced its acquisition of a 50% stake in Tickles.co.uk, a local group-buying website, where merchants offer significant discounts on a specific product or service, in return for a guaranteed minimum number of sales over a limited time period.

The service is free to users, who sign up to receive local offers. If they like the offer, they purchase a voucher online which they can redeem with the merchant, but only if a minimum number of people required have signed up for the offer.

Since its launch in May 2010, local “Ticklers” have already saved over £200,000 in Norfolk and Cambridge through the deals available on the tickles.co.uk website, and the service is set to launch in Ipswich, and across the rest of the country in the next few weeks.

Serge Taborin, Archant Group Business Development Director, said: “This concept is extremely valuable to merchants because it is virtually risk free – not only are the economics of each successful deal known in advance, but if the deal does not attract a pre-agreed number of Ticklers, the deal lapses and neither the merchant nor the users are charged a penny. This encourages interested Ticklers to share the offers with their friends, often through Facebook and Twitter, so that the minimum number is achieved.
“Just as importantly, Tickles is a group-only deal – merchants don’t discount prices for individuals or passing trade, so they can maintain their existing pricing structure. This makes it a novel and cost-effective way of attracting new customers who can then be introduced to additional products or services, while protecting the core business model”

Jon Shannon, Tickles Business Development Director, added: “What makes Tickles different is that unlike some of our competitors, it is truly locally-focused – Tickles only brings our users carefully selected deals from businesses in their areas.
